Ideally located at the beginning of the new Royal Canal Greenway the enchanting 130km of level towpath starts in Maynooth and follows the 200 year old canal through Enfield and Mullingar to Cloondara in Longford, with cafés, picnic spots and attractions along the way. Cyclists, walkers and runners will enjoy passing leafy parkland and industrial landscapes, with rolling fields, picturesque riverside villages, working locks and historic landmarks. With the option to cycle between the main towns and return by train to where you started.
